special area schedule & sharing

Hi!
A note went home explaining when the kids have sharing day. This is 2nd grade version of show and tell. Nothing alive please.

We have Spanish and Library on Monday
             Art and Gym on Tuesday
             Music on Thursday

First Day

We made it through our first day! We learned about how are days go, and other procedures. We will start homework and our Friday notebooks next week. More to come!

Supply List for the fall of 2013

Dear Parents,

Included in this letter is a list of supplies your child will need for second grade with Mrs. Blansett. 

Second Grade Supplies 

a package of 20 or more number 2 pencils with erasers 

2 large pink erasers

2 box of 24 Crayons 

4 glue sticks

paper towels

1 roll masking or scotch tape

one pair of children’s scissors

1 box of Ziploc sandwich size bags

4 expo markers

2 spiral notebooks or composition books

1 box of facial tissues 

6 folders with pockets - please label with your child’s name (these are used to help keep your child organized)

1 1/2 inch three ring binder; goes to school and back home on a daily basis- please label with your child’s name

2 folders with pockets and holes; for use in the 3 ring binder- please label with your child’s name

1 soft sided pencil case; please label with your child’s name

old shirt to be used for art smock- please label with your child’s name

P.S. Please have the following extra supplies at home for homework:

*  Crayons

*  Pencils

*  Ruler

End of the Year

Parents:

We will be having a little party to celebrate 2^nd grade on Thursday morning. Please feel free to send in a treat. Please remember that Thursday is a half day of school the students will be dismissed at 11:30am. Thank you! Have a fantastic summer!

Zoo Trip reminders

Wear dress down, comfortable and weather appropriate clothing. NO flip flops!

 All students will need to pack a lunch, all parts will need to be disposable. (brown bag type lunch, no tupperware containers) 

The students will not be going to the cafe or the gift shop, so they do not need to bring money.

Science Fair and Art Show

Tonight is our Science Fair and Art Show. Please come between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. Have your student to find our project. We need 2nd grade students to tell the audience about our project.

Change in schedule

We will be taking our Science final Thursday, not today. We will be taking our math final tomorrow. I will send home some more math practice tonight.
